Finally, it is also important to acknoledge the producers of Humboldt County. Without these dedicated farmers and farm workers, Humboldt County would not have the legacy of fresh and local produce that many praise in modern day. While they may have changed in appearance and technology through the years, their purpose has not. Many modern businesses are built on the strong foundation of Humboldt County entreprenuership and ingenuity, and looking into the past of agriculture unearths the farm-to-table ideal that was actually a necessity in early rural and isolated Humboldt County.
