About

Welcome to the incoming class of 2020. Ever wonder what the campus and community was like 100 years ago? The Humboldt Library Scholars proudly present the “Humboldt Hindsight is 2020” project.

The project consists of four exhibits covering unique themes: food in Humboldt, transportation in Humboldt County a century ago, history of Humboldt State University, and the importance of the Klamath to the region. The project utilizes sources from the late 1910s and 1920s to exemplify the legacy and changes or similarities that still exist today.

While the exhibits are by no means exhaustive, the selected topics attempt to introduce all people, particularly potential students and those looking for change of scenery, to the history and legacy of Humboldt county.

If you have any questions or would like to continue learning about the rich and varied history of Humboldt, please feel free to contact us via the “Contact Us” link, visit the Humboldt Room website, or visit us in person at the HSU Library.
